Calling all Ophelia Club Leaders!  Please come to a brief meeting this Friday, January 18th in room 220 for exam tips and future even planning!  Snacks will be provided! See Ms. Grover or Ms. Pixley if you can not attend. Attention all Badminton enthusiasts.  Badminton tryouts will begin the first week of Semester 2.  Junior tryouts will on February 4 and 11 at lunch and February 5 and 12 at 7:00 a.m.  Senior tryouts will be February 7 and 14 at lunch. Badminton sign up sheets are now posted outside the coaches room.  Students are asked to sign up under one division only. Agnes Etherington Art Centre has an event for Indigenous Youth on January 25th.  If you are interested in the arts and would like to participate in a workshop, please see Mrs. Robinson in Room 150 for more details. There is an important meeting in room 118 for all ski trip participants today at lunch.  Please see Mr. Cowan if you are unable to attend. In what will henceforth be known as “THE SAVE”, Justyne Bennett made a stop for the ages in the 3rd period yesterday, preserving the shutout victory over Bayridge.  The game was also notable for Abby Geen’s first goal as a falcon, featuring a complete non-celebration that would have made Don Cherry proud!  Well done Falcons.

Hey Falcons!  Are you 17 or older?  Wanna help save a life?  Then you should isgn-up for this month’s Lifebus and donate blood.!  It is this week on Thursday at 11:30 a.m. Sign-up in Student Services.  Remember, someone is your type!

The Girls’ Ice Hockey Team continued their strong start to 2019 with a 2-0 win over Sydenham last night.  Highlights included a pair of goals by Sam Wood, a shutout by “E-Prod”, and a Selke-trophy-esque-tremendous performance by Campbell MacInnis.  Next up, Bayridge on Thursday. Well done Falcons!!

Teachers please excuse the members of the girls’ ice hockey team at 2:15 p.m. today for their game against Sydenham. JR. Looking for your first job? Need help with creating a resume and or interview skills? Keys
Employment Centre is providing a free workshop. To get in on the action you will need to
register. Beat the rush for students looking for summer work. Come to student services to sign-
up.

Students needing Volunteer Hours? Like being in or around a hockey arena? This weekend for
the Taylor Hall Hockey Tournament, volunteers are needed to work a variety of jobs. Generous
hours, lunch provided. See Mr. Kenney if you can volunteer this weekend.

The Band meets today at lunch!

Midget girls’ volleyball practice at lunch today in gym 3. If you’re planning to play on this team,
you must be there or see Ms. Dawson.

Attention students interested in trying out for t he FSS Badminton team, there is a brief meeting
in Student Services today at lunch to discuss how things will proceed.

Congrats to the SR. Girls’ Volleyball Team who had a convincing win last night against Holy
Cross, winning in 3 straight sets! Next up is Marie Riviere on Monday at home.
